Self Pour Station FAQs

This will help you prepare for the operation of your mobile draft unit.

How big are the units? How many kegs can I fit?

Does PourMyBeer supply the beer or gas?

No, you will need to source yourself from a distributor or welding supply store.

What type of gas do I need? 

CO2: Ales, Lagers, Sparkline Wine, Kombucha

Nitrogen (N2): Cocktails, Red or White Wine, Coffee, Juice

Blended 25% CO2 / 75% N2: Nitro beer (Guinness, Nitro Stouts, etc.)

What size tanks do I need? 

The unit comes with a 6” bracket to hold a 5lb tank. You could get a larger tank but it would sit outside of the bracket. You could also run gas lines from bulk supply to the planned area of use.

How much CO2/Nitrogen can an operator expect to use in a month? 

1lb per keg, so 20lb tank can handle approximately 20 1/2bbl keg. 

What are the operating temperatures for the different sections of the mobile units?

36-38*F: Beer, White Wine, Cocktails on Tap

50-55*F: Red Wine

What power do the units require?

115V, 1 Phase, 60 Hz
Full Load Amps - 12.2 A
Dedicated 15A circuit
Plug Type: NEMA-5-15P, Cord Length: 8'

What type of wheels do the units have?

The units come with smooth wheels that allow ADA height compliance with the tap handle and card reader. You can replace these if you expect to transport the unit over rough surfaces.

What is the weight of the unit and crate it comes delivered in?

Mobile draft unit: 600-650lbs

Crate: 200-250lbs

The freight service will drop the unit at the location but will not uncrate the unit or move it into the location. Customers must source assistance with this if needed.
