Open a Toast Ticket and Pair a Customer Card
Start a named tab in Toast and link a card to the tab at the Charger
With the Toast integration, every pour on a customer card posts to the guest's Toast ticket. Open a named ticket in Toast, then pair the customer card to the ticket at the PourMyBev Charger. Each pour then lands on the right tab.
What you need: A Toast terminal with the PourMyBev integration turned on, a login for the PourMyBev Charger (check-in station), and one or more blank customer cards.
Step 1: Start a Ticket in Toast
- On the Toast terminal, start a new order.
- Tap your Beer Wall Menu.
- Tap Fallback Item. Your menu shows this item as "PMB Fallback" or a similar name.
- Leave the price at $0.00 and tap Done.
The $0.00 item opens the ticket. Pours from the beer wall add to the ticket later.
Step 2: Pre-Authorize or Name the Ticket
The ticket needs a name. Tickets without a name do not show up at the Charger.
- In most cases, swipe the guest's payment card on the Toast terminal to pre-authorize. The ticket shows as pre-authorized and takes the name from the card. Skip to Step 3.
- Without a pre-auth, tap Tab.
- Type the guest's name and tap Set Tab Name.
Step 3: Send the Ticket
- Tap Send.
The ticket is now open in Toast and ready to pair.
Step 4: Open the Ticket at the Charger
- Log in to the PourMyBev Charger with your admin card, or your user name and password.
- From the main menu, tap Open tickets.
- Find the guest's ticket. Type the name in the search box to narrow the list.
- Tap the ticket.
Step 5: Pair the Customer Card
- The Pair ticket with customer card screen opens and shows the ticket number.
- Place a customer card on the RFID reader.
- For a group on one tab, place each card on the reader, one after the other.
- Wait for Done! and the green checkmark.
Check Your Work
The Charger shows Done! with a checkmark. Hand the card to the guest and have them pour at the beer wall. Each pour shows on the ticket in Toast under the product name. Repeat Steps 1 through 5 for the next guest.
Ticket Not in Open Tickets
- Confirm the ticket has a name in Toast, from a pre-auth swipe or the Tab button. See Step 2.
- Confirm you tapped Send in Toast.
- Start a new ticket and repeat Steps 1 through 4.
