This quick guide will walk through how to import products into the Toast POS menu. 

 

Step 1: Log into Toast POS via toasttab.com

Step 2: Click on the “Menus” item in the Menu section

Step 3: Locate the menu you’d like your PourMyBeer beer wall products to be listed under

These are usually listed under a menu labelled “Beer Wall” or “Beer Wall Menu”, but your location may vary. If needed, you can create a new menu to list the PourMyBeer menu items under via the “Add” option on this screen. 

Step 4: After locating the correct menu, click into the menu

If no Group is present, create a new group using the Add functionality

Step 5: Once you’ve identified the Group you’d like to place the products under, navigate into the Group



Step 6: Scroll the end of the Items list in the group if needed to find the “Add” button. Click the Down Arrow next to the Add button to find the option labelled “Bulk Add New Items”

Using the products list file sent to you, copy and paste the values from the spreadsheet into this dialog box





Step 8: Paste the values into the Bulk Add Items dialog box

The formatting may appear off after pasting, but the items will still import



Step 9: Click the option to add in the items

The items should have imported in at this time with the name and a price of 1 cent (0.01)

Step 10: Manually create a new item called “PourMyBeer Drink Wall Item” with a price of 1 cent (0.01). 

This will be used as a fallback item in case the PLU was not found in the Toast menu, and will show up on the customer receipt as “PourMyBeer Drink Wall Item”

Step 11: Click Save

Step 12: Click “Publish Now” after the menu group has been saved

 

That’s it! After these steps the items will have been imported with the correct product name, PLUs, and at a price of 0.01. We’re now ready to complete the integration.
